Job description

Role Overview

This is a newly created Learning & Organisational Development Consultant position supporting the Pacific region from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, can manage multiple workstreams at once, and is comfortable handling both strategic and hands-on tasks. It focuses on learning programmes that build soft skills and leadership capability, so prior experience in pest control, hygiene, or plant care is not required.

You will work closely with the L&OD Manager and a broader team of experienced professionals to coordinate programmes, build content, deliver sessions, and support learning systems. The role is primarily remote, with office visits as required and occasional travel.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

You’ll be joining a close-knit, high-performing team that values collaboration, humility, and strong results. The function is part of a global organisation, giving you exposure to colleagues and practices across different regions and time zones. The position has been created because the business is growing quickly across the Pacific, so it is a strong fit for someone who is energised by change and pace.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and co-lead leadership development workshops across the RI Academy, covering programmes from emerging leaders through to middle managers.
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of learning programmes, including communications, follow-ups, and post-session support.
  • Partner with the L&OD Manager on initiatives such as performance reviews, the YVC cultural survey, succession planning, and other projects.
  • Support the online learning platform (U+) by guiding users and recommending suitable learning solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider L&OD team and step in wherever support is needed.
  • Spot opportunities to improve processes, make use of AI where useful, and suggest practical enhancements.
  • Collaborate across global time zones and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Confident facilitation style with the ability to run engaging, interactive development sessions.
  • Capability to tailor content so it fits the organisation’s needs and context.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with high expectations.
  • Experience working across cultures and time zones in a global setting.

About the Team

You’ll be part of a friendly, driven, and goal-oriented group that combines strong expertise with a practical, down-to-earth approach. The team includes specialists across learning systems, content, onboarding, and coordination, and you’ll be expected to contribute flexibly and collaboratively.

About the Employer

The organisation is a global expert in pest control, hygiene, and indoor plant care. Its focus is on protecting people, improving lives, and helping preserve the planet through the work of its people.

Work Arrangement

This position is mainly remote. The team is distributed, comes together in person when needed, and may require travel from time to time. A flexible, connected way of working is an important part of the role.

Additional Information

This opportunity is part of a growth phase across the Pacific and is best suited to someone ready to move quickly, adapt often, and contribute to a high-standard environment.
