Role overview
The Learning & Development Partner for ASIA will help shape and roll out engaging learning experiences across the region for SJ Group. You will take ownership of instructional design, digital learning creation, workshop delivery, and Learning Management System (LMS) operations, while supporting core initiatives such as graduate development, onboarding, and compliance training.
The position also covers the delivery of regional programmes in leadership, management, mentorship, soft skills, sponsorship, culture, orientation, and induction. Success in this role requires close partnership with the wider SJ Global Academy team, the People & Culture function, and business leadership to design practical learning solutions aligned to business goals. The role calls for high energy, flexibility, and the ability to facilitate dynamic sessions for varied audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Design learning content and e-learning experiences that meet learner needs and align with global academy priorities.
- Facilitate learning programmes and workshops in both physical and virtual settings, with clear focus on learning outcomes and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate induction and compliance training so employees meet organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Develop trusted working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support learning initiatives.
- Administer the regional LMS, including reporting and analytics to track learning effectiveness and support informed decisions.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings at least four years of experience in learning and development or organisational development. Prior exposure to instructional design and e-learning development is important, ideally gained in technical or consulting settings. Hands-on experience with LMS platforms such as Docebo or Workday Learning is preferred, along with confidence using learning tools like Articulate 360 Rise, ElevenLabs, Adobe Captivate, and Vyond.
You should be able to guide initiatives through the full learning cycle and be comfortable producing learning materials, visual assets, and presentations. Strong analytical ability and a data-informed approach to decision-making are also essential.
Culture and inclusion
SJ Group values equity, diversity, and inclusion, and aims to create a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can do their best work. The organisation recognises that a diverse and inclusive environment supports innovation and shared learning across its global network. The culture is described as collaborative, high-performing, and energetic, with an emphasis on teamwork and creative problem-solving.
