Sales Team Overview
Our Sales division plays a crucial role in achieving our purpose by forming successful partnerships with customers to ensure product availability in stores and online. Operating in competitive categories, our sales environment is dynamic and fast-moving, encouraging collaboration across multiple teams. We have approximately 10,000 sales associates worldwide in areas including Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing, and Category Development.
Role Overview
We are seeking an organised and relationship-driven Key Account Executive to join our New Zealand Sales team based in Auckland. This evolved role holds national responsibility for managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), overseeing the entire VMI process by collaborating closely with both customers and internal stakeholders to maintain optimal inventory management, stock availability, and execution of initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects related to Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) for the Foodstuffs team nationally.
- Serve as the replenishment contact point for customers across the North and South Islands, managing inventory flow and order processes effectively.
- Collaborate internally across Sales and Supply teams to meet service level targets and overall operational goals.
- Conduct supply reviews with customers and act as the primary contact for all supply-related queries and issues.
- Ensure alignment of forecasts between Reckitt and Foodstuffs systems to maintain forecasting accuracy.
- Generate and manage regular analytical reports and insights to support informed decision-making.
- Develop materials and coordinate with the Field Sales team to implement key commercial activities and maintain clear communications between Account and Field teams.
- Build and sustain strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders internally and with Foodstuffs.
- Drive process improvements within the role and contribute to wider team enhancements.
- Support category reviews and customer presentations using relevant data, analysis, and recommendations.
- Assist in planning promotions, performing post-promotional analysis, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Provide commercial reporting, forecasting, and business review support for the Foodstuffs team as needed.
- Offer administrative and coordination assistance as required.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience in FMCG, retail, customer operations, sales support, supply chain, or account coordination roles.
- Proven ability to manage relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadline pressures.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Confidence in working across functions such as Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
- Effective communication skills with an ability to influence and partner across teams.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working with data sets.
- Experience with major retail customers is highly desirable.
- Previous exposure to Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A proactive learning mindset and readiness to thrive in a fast-moving FMCG environment.
