Job description

The role

As a Junior Wellbeing Manager, you will join the Wellbeing team and support the operational delivery of employee wellbeing work. The team does more than provide services: it coordinates workplace adjustments, delivers the long-term wellbeing roadmap, and helps improve wellbeing at work through health promotion activities, psychosocial support, a wellbeing platform, sickness absence coaching, and support across life events such as becoming a parent. In this position, you will handle key administrative and operational tasks for wellbeing programmes, including psychosocial risk assessments, BEM (sickness absence management), and health promotion efforts. You will work with internal partners such as P&O Business Partners and Works Councils to keep these processes running smoothly and contribute to the wider wellbeing strategy. The role reports to the Senior Lead Wellbeing and involves regular collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Inclusive hiring

The employer encourages applications from candidates who believe they can do the job, even if they do not meet every requirement listed. The organisation aims to build a diverse and inclusive workforce and evaluates candidates based on qualifications, skills, and contributions. Applicants are asked not to include personal details such as photo, age, or marital status in their CV so that assessment can remain fair and focused on capability. Support is available for candidates who need accommodations during the hiring process.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the initial contact for external BEM administrators, coordinate with postal and P&O partners, keep the shared BEM communication space updated, manage access for case managers, and help onboard new entities into the process.
  • Investigate and resolve inconsistencies in BEM data such as eligibility, absence records, and contact details, while helping implement process updates, revised documents, and new communication flows.
  • Run the BEM dashboard, approve stakeholder access, supply data for ASA meetings, and prepare quarterly KPI reports for PSLT.
  • Oversee invoice checks against contract volumes for BEM and corporate health suppliers, monitor budgets, and create annual purchase orders.
  • Coordinate end-to-end administration for corporate health assessments, including surveys, workshops, stakeholder alignment, health check-ups, and consultations.
  • Maintain wellbeing knowledge articles and handle wellbeing tickets through Compass, ensuring information is accurate and responses are timely.
  • Support engagement across the organisation by managing internal wellbeing communities and communication channels.
  • Keep current on research and trends related to psychosocial risk management and workplace wellbeing.

Profile

  • Background in HR, health management, or a closely related area.
  • Prior experience in administrative support, project coordination, or case handling.
  • Strong analytical ability with experience reviewing data, identifying issues, and reporting KPIs precisely.
  • Interest in or knowledge of corporate health management standards and German occupational health rules.
  • Strong organisational ability and a careful approach to data and process work.
  • Comfortable communicating with employees, P&O Business Partners, and external health providers.
  • Can handle confidential employee information with discretion and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Works proactively and independently while contributing well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Fluent English is required, and German is strongly preferred because the role supports German-specific processes such as BEM and ASA.

Benefits

  • 27 days of holiday per year for full-time staff at the start.
  • 2 paid volunteering days each year.
  • Hybrid setup with up to 60% remote work per week, depending on team collaboration needs.
  • Ability to work from abroad for up to 30 working days annually.
  • Employee share programme.
  • Discounts on fashion and beauty items sold and shipped by the company, plus Lounge discounts and partner offers.
  • Relocation support, subject to prior agreement.
  • Family services with counselling and support.
  • Health and wellbeing options, including Wellhub (formerly Gympass).
  • Mental health support and coaching.
  • Access to development through a training platform and biannual peer reviews.
