Role overview

New York University Abu Dhabi’s Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES) is hiring a Junior Research Scientist to contribute to a portfolio of projects focused on air pollution and environmental policy in the UAE and internationally. The work spans perception and knowledge studies on air quality, approaches to engaging policymakers on environmental topics, and expanding data collection as well as public outreach around air quality measurements.

The position is part of interdisciplinary research, so the selected candidate will work across related fields and help advance research efforts connected to these themes.

Candidate profile

The university is looking for someone with a Master’s degree in the social sciences, along with hands-on experience in quantitative analysis. Strong computational ability and solid data management skills are essential for the role.
