Job description
Overview
As a Junior Motorsports Marketing Manager, you will oversee the national presence of the Red Bull brand within motorsports. You will manage relationships with athletes, motorsport projects, events, and partnerships with external collaborators to ensure the brand is authentically represented, relevant, and prominently visible.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager to systematically and efficiently execute motorsport projects while developing innovative concepts that set new standards.
- Leverage an extensive network within the racing community to identify emerging trends, implement ideas on track, and continuously advance existing activities.
- Manage and enhance the high-performance athlete program by setting goals and annual plans in coordination with athletes, facilitating successful collaboration.
- Lead selection processes for new drivers and teams, independently negotiate contracts, and coordinate with relevant contacts both at headquarters and within the German division.
- Own select athlete projects from conceptualization through successful delivery, collaborating closely with athletes and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, targeted, and budget-compliant execution.
- Plan and oversee marketing activations at major motorsport events such as MotoGP at Sachsenring, the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring race, and DTM, developing the annual motorsport cooperation plan alongside internal and external partners.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Senior Motorsports Manager in shaping the annual business plan, fostering new event, activation, and content concepts, assessing their potential, and uniting diverse stakeholders to realize innovative ideas.
- Proactively spot emerging trends to continuously evolve motorsport marketing initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Academic background in Marketing, Sports Marketing, Sports Management, Business Administration, or Media Studies.
- Fluent proficiency in both German and English, spoken and written.
- Initial professional experience in sports, motorsport, events, or marketing environments such as agencies, associations, teams, or companies.
- Proven ability to independently organize and execute projects or events.
- Strong passion for motorsport and solid understanding of national and international racing scenes.
- Organized and dependable work approach with capability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication skills when interacting with athletes, partners, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with hands-on attitude, initiative, and motivation to independently drive ideas forward.
- Creative flair with sensitivity to innovative marketing and event concepts.
- Existing network within motorsport or the broader sports industry.
- Practical motorsport experience through club participation, teams, media, agencies, or personal competitive involvement.
