About the Role
7-Eleven operates a large network of convenience, restaurant, and fuel locations, and this role supports the upkeep and repair of store equipment and physical facilities across an assigned area. The position also contributes to the development of newer technicians through hands-on training, assessment, and coaching. Service requests are routed through 7Help work orders, and the role reports to the Area Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-the-job coaching and performance assessments for new technicians.
- Carry out follow-up reviews and additional training once new technicians have spent time in the field.
- Handle the duties expected of a Tech 1 and demonstrate at least 75% proficiency in the responsibilities associated with Tech II.
- Respond to work orders for a broad range of in-store equipment, including minor HVAC repairs, refrigeration issues, hot beverage systems such as coffee and cappuccino machines, cold beverage systems such as tea, fountain, FBD, FCB and creamer machines, ice makers, hot food equipment such as fryers, griddles, tortilla presses, ovens, roller grills and warmers, as well as fuel dispenser components such as printers, displays, card readers and hanging hardware.
- Take care of work orders involving plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance concerns.
- Replace plug-and-play equipment when required.
- Provide instruction, oversight, correction, and support to assigned apprentices.
- Supervise apprentices in a specific trade discipline when needed.
- Maintain logbooks and complete required apprentice evaluations when responsible for apprentice oversight.
- Ensure apprentice work is properly supervised at all times.
- Submit apprentice hours and documentation required for trade-board certification.
- Report periodically on apprentice progress in the field and in classroom learning.
- Support apprentices with online courses when necessary.
- Make sure safety policies and training guidelines are followed during apprenticeship activities.
- Help build and improve training practices, conduct site assessments, and provide coaching and follow-up as needed.
- Evaluate technician strengths and development areas and use that insight to guide training.
- Contribute to strategies that support continuous growth and skill development for apprentices.
Education and Experience
The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of relevant work experience. No management experience is required, and no certifications or licenses are specified.

Compensation
The pay range for this role is $50.00 to $60.00 per hour. Compensation is described as a good-faith estimate and may change over time. Final pay may be higher or lower, and bonus, commission, long-term incentives, and benefits remain subject to company discretion unless and until paid, consistent with applicable law.
