Job Overview

We are offering full-time and part-time janitorial roles at the Sysco location in Columbia, SC. These roles require working in extreme cold conditions and involve maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the facility. Workdays are Monday through Friday with variable hours which will be shared during the interview.

Key Responsibilities

• Properly collect and dispose of trash adhering to approved procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Perform dusting and damp mopping of floors following standardized cleaning processes.
• Relocate equipment and furniture to facilitate thorough cleaning and return items to their original places.
• Clean various assigned areas utilizing specified supplies and equipment; sanitize surfaces following an 8-step cleaning method.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other fixtures to uphold a safe and hygienic environment.
• Proactively identify and attend to areas needing attention.
• Complete all assigned duties as directed by supervisors.
• Operate in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform floor maintenance tasks such as stripping, scrubbing, buffing, refinishing, and carpet shampooing.
• Maintain professionalism and contribute positively to team efforts and client interactions.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in extremely cold environments.
• Capable of performing physically intensive cleaning duties.
• Adherence to safety and infection control policies.
• Must meet essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

The hourly wage for this position is $16.00.
