Job Overview

The Route Driver is responsible for delivering products and servicing vending equipment along a specified route, maintaining vending machine inventory, and representing the company positively at all times to build strong client and customer relationships. This role offers excellent advancement prospects, serving as a foundation for entry-level management roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain correct inventory supplies and distribute products to vending machines.
• Ensure products are fresh by performing regular rotation at designated vending locations.
• Deliver excellent client and customer service in all aspects of the role.
• Communicate with regular clients about new products and services and address any service complaints.
• Set up merchandise displays and distribute promotional materials to customers.
• Manage receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash collections, and product accountability.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Valid Class C (Non-CDL) driver’s license unless otherwise required by state laws, ensuring safe vehicle operation.
• Preferred 1 to 2 years of customer service experience or at least 1 year in a related role.
• Comfortable using handheld computers; training will be provided.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Ability or willingness to operate material handling equipment such as box trucks and handcarts.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own route with minimal supervision.

Schedule and Location

Working full-time, Wednesday through Sunday, from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm with possible variations on weekend hours. The position is based at Canteen, 2888 19th Street Southeast, Salem, OR 97303, with remote application only.
