Job description

Role Overview

The Ireland Head of Financial Reporting holds a senior leadership position responsible for driving results through effective management of their team or department, ensuring smooth execution of all financial reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and nurture a high-performing team, managing performance and planning workforce strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting growth and resolving escalations effectively.
  • Engage with diverse global internal stakeholders and external partners to foster collaboration and address issues.
  • Guarantee timely and precise delivery of financial reporting to clients.
  • Serve as senior escalation point for complex operational concerns and critical queries.
  • Ensure adherence to risk management practices, internal controls, quality benchmarks, and comply fully with regulations and company policies.
  • Provide technical leadership especially in financial reporting for Irish fund structures.
  • Champion continuous process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant professional background in financial services and fund accounting.
  • Chartered Accountant designation or equivalent qualifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial markets, client and project management, strategic and operational leadership, and managing resources and budgets.
  • Proven capability in leading people and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles, global financial markets, and financial services domain.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Multifonds, InvestOne, DFin, Unity, and NXT is advantageous.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
