Role Overview

We seek an investor based in the San Francisco Bay Area to join our team, driving sourcing and evaluation efforts for the next wave of AI-driven startups. This full-time position provides hands-on experience across all venture capital functions and offers a dynamic, empowering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage with unconventional entrepreneurs shaping emerging AI industries.
• Develop investment theses by researching industries and analyzing detailed data sets.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for incoming opportunities and proactively build a strong network through founders, co-investors, and executives.
• Lead diligence processes including preparing thorough investment memos supported by data and analysis.
• Remain abreast of AI trends by experimenting with new tools, creating prototypes, and integrating AI into sourcing and portfolio management workflows.
• Provide strategic and operational guidance to founders on challenges such as organization design, hiring, compensation, financial reporting, sales, and product prioritization.
• Contribute internally by managing the firm’s CRM, developing AI-powered internal tools, overseeing LP communications, and producing thought leadership content including social media, blogs, podcasts, and events.

Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of professional experience, including operating roles at startups or technology companies.
• Proven success in outbound sourcing and an established network within early-stage founder and investor communities.
• Strong intuition and judgment for founder talent, especially at the seed stage lacking extensive financial records.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and sector research; investment banking experience is advantageous.
• Passion for AI technology, with a history of engaging with AI tools and product development.
• Personable with an authentic, optimistic demeanor, capable of independent work and treating the firm like their own business.
• Intellectually curious, detail-oriented, excellent listener, and adaptable in dynamic environments.
