About the Role

An established family office is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to manage and support investment operations spanning a diverse portfolio of alternative assets. This hands-on position offers exposure to investor reporting, fund onboarding, portfolio support, and various operational functions within alternative investment vehicles such as private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets. The role demands collaboration and an entrepreneurial spirit within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily middle office tasks for a portfolio containing private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real asset investments.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes for new funds, investment managers, and service providers.
  • Prepare, verify, and distribute accurate investor and portfolio reports promptly.
  • Track and reconcile capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions while maintaining detailed investment records.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators, custodians, and external managers to address and resolve operational challenges.
  • Support cash management activities, transaction processing, and handling of investment documentation.
  • Work closely with Accounting, Finance, and Investment teams to facilitate reporting and enhance operational processes.
  • Identify and propose process improvements, automation opportunities, and stronger operational controls.
  • Contribute to various ad hoc projects related to portfolio management, reporting accuracy, and system upgrades.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in investment operations, middle office, fund operations, or portfolio administration in contexts such as family offices, asset managers, fund administrators, or alternative investment firms.
  • Proven familiarity supporting alternative asset classes including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fund structures, capital activity management, and investment lifecycles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with investment accounting systems or portfolio management software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to prioritize effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
