About the Role
This position is ideal for seasoned Investment Banking professionals specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), keen on applying their expertise to innovative AI research and evaluation efforts. The role entails using advanced skills in valuation, financial modeling, and transaction management to craft and assess realistic financial scenarios, thereby enhancing the performance and reasoning capabilities of state-of-the-art AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, scrutinize, and assess authentic investment banking and M&A case scenarios.
- Perform detailed analysis of M&A transactions, including financial statements, valuation frameworks, and broader corporate finance choices.
- Create and critique financial models, company evaluations, industry insights, and transactional documentation.
- Review AI-generated financial content for accuracy, technical precision, and sound investment banking rationale.
- Leverage knowledge in due diligence, valuation techniques, and deal execution to refine AI outputs.
- Communicate intricate financial data into clear and substantiated recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with research teams to elevate the quality and consistency of AI assessments.
Qualifications
- Proven professional background in Investment Banking concentrated on M&A.
- Hands-on experience with M&A transactions involving financial modeling, valuation, company and industry analyses, due diligence, market research, and transaction execution.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Modeling and Valuation, Company and Industry Analysis, Transaction Execution, Due Diligence, Pitch Books, or Investment Committee Documentation.
- Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, financial statement interpretation, and valuation techniques.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, financial modeling proficiency, and communication skills.
- Mandatory UK residency with legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience at a top-tier global investment bank renowned for its M&A practices.
- Advisory roles for strategic buyers, private equity sponsors, or public companies on multifaceted deals.
- Expertise in drafting board decks, investment memorandums, or transaction proposals.
- Meticulous attention to detail and skill in evaluating complex financial scenarios.
Compensation & Engagement
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $180 to $230.
- Weekly payments in the capacity of an independent contractor.
- Contractual engagement allowing for up to 40 hours per week.
