About the Role
Jefferies is building a new investment banking team in Toronto and is looking for an Analyst to join the group. The role offers exposure to senior bankers and the chance to work on transactions spanning multiple industries and product categories.
What You’ll Do
In this position, you’ll take on meaningful responsibility early on, supporting both pitching and execution across advisory and capital markets work for private and public clients.
- Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions, advisory mandates, and equity or debt financing transactions.
- Prepare materials for client discussions and presentations.
- Review business plans and build company valuation analyses using multiple methods.
- Draft transaction documents such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses.
- Take part in diligence work and drafting sessions.
- Help prepare internal deal memoranda for circulation and review.
The role also involves regular interaction with clients, including senior executives such as CEOs and CFOs. You will be expected to join client meetings, contribute to conversations, and help strengthen long-term client relationships. The work will be project-based and fast-paced, often requiring you to manage several matters at once while coordinating with professionals across the firm, including Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, and Associates.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in investment banking.
- Strong technical abilities along with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Proven ability to balance multiple transactions and projects at the same time.
- A resourceful self-starter who can work independently and also collaborate effectively in a team.

This is an on-site role based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
