Job description
Role overview
You will join the Investment Governance function supporting the Wealth Management business’s Investment Platform, Macquarie Wrap. The platform currently oversees roughly $160 billion in funds under administration.
Macquarie operates across 30 markets and has maintained profitability for 57 consecutive years. The organisation positions this role as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully while building a career with broad support and room to make an impact.
What you will do
In this position, you will carry out detailed due diligence reviews on a variety of investment products being considered for inclusion on the Wrap platform. You will also help with continued monitoring and analytical review once products are onboarded.
The work spans investment analysis across multiple asset classes and product structures. You will also contribute to change initiatives, including those driven by legislative or regulatory updates, and prepare materials for the board and investment committee, such as presentations and reporting packs.
What you bring
The role calls for a tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, or economics, along with a genuine interest in investment analysis, investment governance, and delivering strong client outcomes.
Experience in investment analysis and/or due diligence is preferred, especially where it is backed by a solid understanding of superannuation regulatory frameworks. You should be comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Progress toward a postgraduate investment qualification, such as CFA, is considered an advantage.
Benefits and support
Macquarie offers a broad benefits package, which may vary depending on employment type. Available benefits include:
- 1 wellbeing leave day each year
- Up to 5 extra service bonus leave days annually
- Up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers, plus 12 days of transition leave when returning to work, and 6 weeks of paid leave for non-primary carers
- 2 days of paid volunteer leave and matched donations
- Up to 12 months of gender affirmation leave, including 6 weeks of paid leave
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing support such as skin and health checks and flu vaccinations
- Access to salary packaging options
- Learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional memberships or subscriptions
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, depending on the role
- Reimbursement for home office equipment
About the business
Banking and Financial Services is Macquarie’s technology-led retail banking division. The team supports customers in reaching their goals, whether that involves buying a home, expanding a business, or growing and managing wealth.
Diversity and inclusion
Macquarie is committed to building a workplace that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Applications are welcomed from people of all backgrounds and identities, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, cultural identity, nationality, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, marital or partnership status, parental or caregiving status, family and domestic violence status, neurodiversity, religion or belief, disability, and socio-economic background.
Reasonable adjustments can be arranged for candidates who need support during recruitment and in working arrangements. Applicants who require extra assistance are encouraged to mention this during the application process.
