Key Responsibilities
As a Publishing Research Analyst, your main duty will be to support and expand coverage of New Zealand equities. You will collaborate closely with senior analysts to generate ideas, conduct analysis, develop financial models, perform valuations, write reports, and communicate with clients. Additionally, you will enhance your industry knowledge by engaging with company management, sector specialists, and the wider Australasian Macquarie Capital team, as well as attending relevant conferences hosted by Macquarie and the industry.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five years’ experience in equities, buy-side roles, investment banking, or similar financial or corporate positions.
- Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a related field. Academic transcripts should be included with your application.
- A strong curiosity about company operations, industry dynamics, and market behavior.
- Competency in financial analysis and modeling, with proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly motivated and detail-focused, possessing superior written and verbal communication abilities.
- Creative thinking skills with capacity for idea generation and problem-solving.
