Job Summary
The role involves diligently managing all shipping, receiving, and handling processes related to the company’s inventory. Compliance with all company safety procedures for inventory management, shipping, and correction of stock discrepancies is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently meet or exceed store and personal sales performance targets
- Implement all corporate initiatives accurately as directed by management
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing merchandise
- Check the correctness of all shipping and receiving documentation such as POS reports and delivery notes
- Properly manage store inventory including received or transferred goods
- Ensure products are accurately sized
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked stock area
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to resolve any stock discrepancies originating in-store, from other stores, or Headquarters
- Communicate stock replenishment needs to the District Sales Manager, Distribution, Buying, and Merchandising teams
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
- Embody and promote the Little Burgundy culture within the team
Candidate Requirements
- Retail management experience preferred
- Minimum 1 to 2 years retail sales experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to excellent customer service
- A drive to succeed in a dynamic retail environment
- Bilingualism required in Quebec (where applicable)
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
- Completion of all training leading towards a Manager-in-Training or equivalent program
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts
- Physical ability to climb, stretch, bend, and lift weights up to 50 pounds
- Capability to stand for extended durations
- Minimum age of 18 years, subject to provincial territorial variations for part-time roles
- General English proficiency is necessary to communicate effectively with customers and corporate personnel
