Job description
Overview
Weatherford seeks interns for summer 2023 across various disciplines including Finance, Accounting, Sales, Legal, Supply Chain, and Human Resources at Houston locations. This internship emphasizes hands-on experiences promoting personal growth and familiarity with industry standards such as Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E), along with exposure to the oil and gas sector. Interns will attend technical and professional trainings and collaborate on impactful projects involving cross-functional teamwork and final presentations to senior management.
Safety, Security & Compliance
- Uphold premium corporate governance standards ensuring all actions comply with company security, compliance, HSE policies, and relevant legal and industry regulations.
- Prioritize Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental protection by avoiding risks to employees, processes, customers, and communities.
- Engage in continuous HS&E improvements using responsible care practices and stakeholder feedback to exceed customer expectations.
- Managers and supervisors are expected to lead safety efforts effectively for their teams and visitors within company premises.
Quality Assurance
- Gain familiarity with company Quality policies and contribute to compliance and ongoing system improvements.
- Maintain high service quality across all business areas, consistently seeking enhancement opportunities.
Operational Responsibilities
- Receive coaching and mentoring to develop understanding of the organization, projects, and professional skills.
- Execute internal projects aimed at improving business processes and customer outcomes.
- Learn about company systems and operations to support project completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other interns to build networks and engage with business leaders.
- Present project results to senior leadership and provide feedback upon internship completion.
