Job description
About the Role
This is a contract role lasting three months, supporting the Americas (AMR) commercial organizations and providing downstream assistance to the EMEA HR team. While remote, preference is given to candidates on the East Coast due to occasional schedule flexibility required to address minor EMEA HR matters. The position reports to the Director of HR, Commercial & Business Units and partners with leadership to enhance associate experience, drive performance management, and foster organizational effectiveness across talent acquisition, development, retention, and engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate on employee relations issues, managing investigations and proactively proposing innovative solutions to moderate complexity challenges in human capital.
- Influence leadership at various levels on problem-solving, dispute resolution, performance enhancement, regulatory adherence, and litigation risk mitigation.
- Support associate engagement, retention, and development through program implementation and coaching, and consult with leaders on talent management and organizational design to align with business goals.
- Manage the performance management process for client groups, including facilitating performance calibration sessions, coaching leaders on difficult conversations, and developing performance improvement and development plans.
- Offer guidance on local employment laws and business practices across states to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Advise on internal mobility decisions — transfers, promotions, and job enhancements — ensuring alignment with skill gaps, development plans, career progression, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resource Management with over five years of human resources business experience.
- At least 3 to 5 years as an HR Business Partner, including experience coaching and influencing leaders, negotiation, and collaborative problem resolution across multiple leadership levels.
- Demonstrated success supporting commercial business functions through organizational change, prioritizing, scheduling, and scoping projects effectively amid competing demands.
- Experience leading or developing teams directly or indirectly, fostering a collaborative work environment based on trust and productivity.
