Your Role with Us

As an Insurance Adviser at AIA New Zealand, you will play a vital role in assisting customers to make well-informed decisions that enhance their financial wellbeing. You will work within the Distribution team, delivering customized insurance advice and ongoing support to existing clients by focusing on their unique needs in every interaction. Your responsibilities include fostering trusted relationships, providing guidance compliant with AIA's advice framework, and creating positive customer experiences through empathy, professionalism, and genuine care.

Your Impact

  • Provide tailored insurance advice that empowers customers to make choices aligned to their personal needs and objectives.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships through meaningful conversations, prompt service, and authentic dedication to favorable customer outcomes.
  • Ensure all advice and interactions comply with regulatory requirements and AIA's internal standards, maintaining professional integrity throughout.
  • Keep precise and timely records within Xplan and AdviceTrack to uphold excellent advice quality and operational efficiency.
  • Identify when customers have complex needs and refer them to the AIA Thrive adviser network for appropriate support levels.
  • Collaborate effectively across Distribution and Customer teams to enhance customer experiences and contribute positively to team culture.

Your Capabilities

  • Previous experience delivering customer-centric advice, service, or account management within financial services, insurance, or related sectors.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • A thoughtful and empathetic problem-solving approach, always prioritizing positive outcomes for customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks without losing attention to detail.
  • A solid commitment to maintaining professional standards, adhering to regulations, and accurate documentation.
  • Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications, NCFS Level 5 certification, or experience working in telephone-based sales or advisory roles is advantageous.
