Job description
Role overview
This position sits within TikTok’s Industry Operations group, where the focus is on shaping vertical strategy, spotting growth opportunities, and building tailored approaches for specific industries. The team works closely with clients through high-touch support and education on TikTok solutions, helping them reach their marketing and business goals. The role also requires strong cross-functional partnership to bring together product understanding, vertical expertise, and market intelligence into practical solutions.
This opportunity is well suited to people who enjoy analytical work and want to deepen their skills in strategic planning, business intelligence, and turning data into clear narratives within a fast-growing digital advertising environment.
Strategic analysis and market intelligence
- Research markets and evaluate competitors to uncover expansion opportunities, new trends, and insights relevant to each vertical.
- Contribute to go-to-market planning, including regional playbooks and frameworks for priority industries and product launches.
- Review client portfolio mix, revenue composition, and account health indicators to guide prioritization and resource decisions.
- Develop business cases and ROI assessments for new initiatives, product introductions, and market entry ideas.
- Track competitor actions and platform changes, then translate findings into forward-looking recommendations for leadership.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring at least 3 years of experience in client services, account management, or campaign management within digital performance marketing, including hands-on work with advertising platforms. A strong grasp of digital media KPIs and how to improve them across awareness, consideration, and performance goals is important. The role also calls for experience managing complex campaign portfolios across brand and performance advertisers, including coordination across multiple markets.
Applicants must be comfortable using English as a working language and should have strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, creative in solving problems, self-directed, resilient, curious, and able to make sound decisions on complex issues.
Preferred background
A strong quantitative foundation is preferred, especially through study or experience in statistics, economics, business analytics, data science, or a related area. Advanced Excel capability, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas, is valuable, along with familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Exposure to SQL, Python, R, or other analytics tools is a plus. The role also benefits from experience structuring ambiguous problems, using hypothesis-driven analysis, connecting insights to business outcomes, and presenting complex findings in a clear, persuasive way. Familiarity with digital advertising metrics such as CPM, CPA, ROAS, and LTV is helpful, and candidates should be comfortable handling several workstreams while prioritizing based on business impact and urgency.
