Job description
About the Company
Aussie has spent more than 30 years helping 1.5 million Australians become homeowners. The business now supports customers across the full property journey, including home loans, buyer’s agents, conveyancing, and related services.
With a strong brand reputation, recognised support, and modern technology, the company aims to help brokers work with greater speed, confidence, and efficiency.
Role Overview
Store Brokers are the main point of contact for their local communities, helping customers navigate the process of finding, buying, and owning a home. This opportunity sits within a growing retail network in Bendigo and is suited to mortgage professionals who want to build a long-term career in a high-performing store environment.
As the broker channel continues to play a major role in Australian home lending, this position offers the chance to grow income and customer relationships through a broader connected offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle walk-in enquiries, online leads, and booked in-store meetings with customers who are ready to act.
- Support community marketing activities and contribute to local area promotion efforts.
- Guide clients through each stage of the home loan process, from initial search through to settlement and aftercare.
- Work with the internal processing team to lodge deals, reducing administrative load so you can spend more time with customers and your local market.
- Use the wider service offering to generate referral income through buyer’s agents and conveyancing solutions.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, or a clear intention to complete it before starting, with support provided by the employer.
- Previous experience in sales or customer service.
- Strong drive and motivation to help the retail store grow.
- Genuine interest in helping customers achieve home ownership.
- Full and unrestricted Australian work rights.
What You’ll Gain
- Uncapped earning potential across multiple points in the property journey, including loans, referrals, and conveyancing.
- Opportunity to build long-term client relationships rather than relying on one-off transactions.
- Access to buyer’s agent support for off-market opportunities, negotiation help, and stronger buying outcomes.
- In-house conveyancing with contract reviews and live progress tracking.
- Client engagement tools such as property valuations, equity insights, and refinance reminders after settlement.
- Technology that reduces admin work and improves efficiency, including automation, real-time data, and workflow support.
- Less administrative burden, with compliance and appointment setting managed for you.
- Training and development through Broker Academy, growth programs, and ongoing learning opportunities.
- Support from a collaborative, values-driven store team and a national broker network.
Additional Information
This is more than a standard loan-writing role. It is positioned as part of a connected property ecosystem designed to help brokers stay involved from the first search right through to the final settlement and beyond. The role emphasises customer relationships, growth potential, and the use of technology to improve productivity.
