Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a Deputy General Manager in Business Finance to collaborate closely with distribution leadership and key business heads within Lupin’s generics and hospital segments. This role involves overseeing distribution expenses, preparing detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance, and driving cost optimization and business growth strategies.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the distribution head to manage all distribution-related expenses for IRF.
- Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, ensure provisions are accurately recorded, and review expenses against budget to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Partner with business leaders in the Generics division to support performance management initiatives.
- Analyze variances, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable financial analytics.
- Ensure timely implementation of pricing across the India region, including preparation of calendars, BOT, and finalizing all price circulars.
- Drive effectiveness of On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) initiatives through Project Stride.
- Assist with compliance related to NLEM and respond to NPPA requirements.
- Support updates to special rates and price lists.
- Promote simplification efforts through systems like Mdevol and Spin App while maintaining strong control mechanisms.
- Lead initiatives to reduce inventory, control outstanding receivables, and minimize sales returns.
- Work in partnership with heads of Hospital, Institution, and Medical Team businesses to provide monthly MIS and prepare Profit & Loss statements.
- Contribute ideas and strategies to drive business growth.
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing industries; pharmaceutical sector experience preferred.
- Proven track record in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- Strong understanding of distribution costs and experience partnering with sales and marketing teams.
- Sound knowledge of Profit & Loss management.
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate in Chartered Accountancy or Finance.
- Additional qualifications in Cost Accountancy or Business Finance will be advantageous.
