About the Role
Join as an In-Home Installation Technician responsible for delivering, installing, integrating, and troubleshooting technology products including home theater systems, computing devices, smart home equipment, and networking solutions. Beyond installation, you will customize solutions that fit customers' lifestyles and technology requirements by engaging in meaningful conversations. The role involves collaboration with fellow Geek Squad agents, service partners, retail colleagues, and supply chain teams to meet organizational goals and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a smooth customer experience by recommending and fulfilling lifestyle-oriented product and service solutions.
- Execute multiple fulfillment duties such as delivery, installation, integration, networking configuration, and troubleshooting consumer electronics.
- Lead dual technician assignments and independently manage single-person jobs.
- Handle vehicle upkeep, maintain inventory, complete paperwork and payment processes, contribute feedback, facilitate training sessions, and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be at least 21 years old with a current and valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record compliant with company safety standards.
- Capable of obtaining and sustaining any necessary state or local licenses within 90 days of hiring.
- Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds individually and up to 150 pounds collaboratively, with reasonable accommodations; lifting up to 250 pounds is possible using team assistance and supportive devices such as harnesses or lifts.
- Minimum of six months experience in consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting.
- At least six months of experience providing customer service.
Preferred Experience
- Half a year of experience working specifically with complex or advanced consumer electronics installations, integrations, and troubleshooting.
