About the Role

Join our dedicated team as an Employment Consultant at the Shepparton VIC site within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program where you can make a profound impact by helping people with disabilities secure meaningful employment opportunities. This position combines client support, employer engagement, and administrative responsibilities to drive successful employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to participants who face barriers such as disability, injury, or long-term unemployment to prepare them for the workforce.
• Actively promote participants to local employers, generating and securing job opportunities through cold calling, visits, and face-to-face engagement.
• Develop and nurture strong, sustainable relationships with local businesses to establish lasting employment pathways.
• Coach participants in resume building, interview preparation, job searching techniques, and connect them to relevant training and upskilling.
• Negotiate and arrange job trials, work experience, and wage subsidies to facilitate employment placements.
• Maintain thorough compliance, documentation, and data management in accordance with program standards.
• Monitor and achieve key performance indicators relating to placements, employer engagement, and participant progression.
• Celebrate milestones and successes to encourage participant confidence and retention.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Excellent communicator with a natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships, especially within employer networks.
• Experience in sales, recruitment, business development, or customer-facing roles.
• Passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities to overcome employment challenges.
• Resilient, goal-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Organized with capacity to handle administrative compliance and data entry tasks meticulously.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Must have legal eligibility to work in Australia.
• Current driver's license and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Possession of a MyGovID (Standard Level).
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Available to work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
