Job Overview

As a Hygiene Officer at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai, you will oversee and coordinate operations to ensure strict compliance with hygiene and food safety standards. This role involves providing guidance on proper food handling practices, delivering food hygiene training for new hires and trainees, and identifying areas of risk within food operations to implement preventative measures. You will also offer technical support on product labeling to meet governmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

You will assist management in several human resource functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Maintaining company policies related to safety, security, and confidentiality is vital. You are expected to report any maintenance concerns, accidents, or unsafe conditions promptly and complete all necessary safety training and certifications. Presenting a professional appearance and fostering positive workplace relationships to support team goals are essential. Additional duties may include standing or walking for extended periods, occasionally lifting light objects, and performing other assignments as directed by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or Culinary from an accredited institution.
• Two to four years of relevant work experience.
• At least one year in a supervisory role.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
