Role Overview
Based in Western Australia, Sodexo manages the upkeep and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure across mining and oil & gas industries, delivering essential catering, hospitality, and facilities support. We are seeking a committed HSE Advisor to join our site team on a FIFO 8/6 roster and other schedules. This permanent full-time role is tailored for a proactive professional dedicated to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out incident investigations and produce detailed follow-up reports.
- Deliver safety training, mentoring, and coaching for onsite personnel.
- Identify safety risks and opportunities for improvement, implementing robust systems, policies, and procedures.
- Encourage and foster a strong positive safety culture at sites.
- Contribute actively in safety toolbox talks and pre-start meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen or hold full Australian working rights.
- Pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
- Provide a recent National Police Check dated within the last six months or obtain one as required.
- Have at least two years of experience working within the safety sector.
- Hold a Certificate IV in Health and Safety.
- Possess or be willing to pursue Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
- Hold a current Western Australia Manual Driver’s License.
- Experience with ICAM incident investigations is preferred.
- Proficient in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
Additional Information
This position reports to the HSE Manager and involves close interaction with various site teams. It demands hands-on involvement in audit procedures, risk assessment tasks, and safety initiatives tailored to client needs across Western Australia.
