About the Role

BSI is seeking an experienced HR Generalist dedicated to enhancing employee experience and supporting HR functions across one or multiple countries. This role involves comprehensive management of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and HR operations within a global matrix environment. The position aims to balance adherence to local labor laws with global policies while delivering consistent service.

Key Duties

  • Serve as the main HR contact point for employees and managers in assigned regions.
  • Oversee full HR operations such as onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, leave management, contractual adjustments, and employee offboarding.
  • Keep employee records and country-specific HR documentation accurate within HR systems.
  • Offer initial guidance on HR policies, procedures, and lifecycle events.
  • Assist managers in standard people management processes and advise on best practices.
  • Coordinate payroll details and support monthly payroll processes.
  • Handle employee relations issues, escalating complex cases as suitable.
  • Monitor compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
  • Support the rollout of regional and global HR initiatives including leadership development, system implementations, and performance management.
  • Forge strong collaborations across the People team and wider organization to ensure employee satisfaction.
  • Assist in HR projects and continuous process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and daily support to local HR Administrators when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum five years in a generalist or operational HR role.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and people management procedures.
  • Experience in global or matrixed organizational structures.
  • Proficiency in HR or HCM software.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Business English and local languages relevant to the assigned countries.

  • HR-related certifications or qualifications.
  • Experience supporting HR functions across multiple countries or regions.
  • Background in employee relations or collaboration with ER teams.
  • Involvement in HR process transformation or improvement projects.
