Purplle.com is hiring an HR Business Partner for its retail human resources function. This role supports store operations in Tamil Nadu or Telangana, with separate openings for each state, and focuses on aligning people initiatives with business priorities across the retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with retail leaders to execute HR programs across stores in the region and ensure people practices support business objectives and growth.
• Handle the full employee journey for retail staff, covering onboarding, engagement, performance reviews, grievance resolution, and exit processes.
• Support hiring, manpower planning, and workforce productivity by coordinating with managers to keep store staffing on track across the assigned territory.
• Monitor and interpret HR data such as attrition, attendance, productivity, and performance, then share actionable recommendations based on the findings.
• Maintain compliance with company rules, legal requirements, and HR best practices while helping build a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal applicant should hold an MBA or PGDM in Human Resources, or an equivalent qualification, and bring 2 to 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist. Experience in retail, FMCG, beauty, or cosmetics is preferred, along with exposure to multiple store locations and field-based teams. Strong stakeholder handling, employee relations, and problem-solving abilities are important, as is comfort with MS Excel and HRMS tools for reporting and data analysis. The role also requires readiness to travel extensively within the assigned state.
