Role Overview

We seek a dedicated Housekeeping Linen Porter to join our team who will play a crucial role in ensuring guests receive fresh, high-quality linen throughout their stay. Your responsibilities will include receiving, sorting, and distributing linens across the property, maintaining stock levels, and keeping the linen room orderly. This behind-the-scenes position enhances guest satisfaction and supports the housekeeping team's efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept deliveries of linen from external laundry vendors, verifying counts and quality against delivery documentation.
• Confirm all linen is clean, intact, and meets Premier Inn’s brand standards before allocation.
• Sort, store, and supply linen to housekeeping teams and storage areas as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the linen room and storage spaces at all times.
• Monitor daily linen usage and promptly inform supervisors of any shortages or inconsistencies.
• Manage damaged or stained linen by ensuring its replacement or proper disposal.
• Assist housekeeping by collecting soiled linen from room attendants for vendor pickup.
• Adhere strictly to hygiene and safety guidelines in the handling and storage of linens.
• Keep accurate records of linen usage, inventories, and stock levels.
• Identify and report any safety concerns, maintenance issues, or quality problems related to linen supply.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Physical fitness adequate for handling and moving heavy linen loads.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and cleanliness.
• Dependable, punctual, and well-organized.
• Ability to work efficiently alone and collaboratively within a team.
• Basic English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Awareness of best practices concerning hygiene, safety, and linen care.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel laundry services is preferred.
