Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Product Assistant to support the Design team within the One Jeanswear Group, managing multiple apparel brands. This position offers a valuable opportunity to grow a career in fashion, gaining firsthand experience in the product development lifecycle in a dynamic setting.
Key Duties
- Oversee sample handling by receiving, unpacking, tagging, steaming, organizing, and shipping samples to meet seasonal development schedules.
- Maintain order and systematization of sample closets, seasonal racks, design boards, and product libraries across various brands and categories.
- Manage logistics including coordinating daily messenger tasks, FedEx shipments, and sample distribution.
- Keep spreadsheets, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports, seasonal trackers, and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems updated with precise product data.
- Assist the Design team in maintaining technical packs, tracking color approvals, managing trims, artwork, and development-related documents.
- Prepare materials for fittings, meetings, presentations, and internal review sessions.
- Facilitate effective daily communication between Design, Product Development, Production, and Merchandising teams.
- Support adherence to schedules, accuracy, and ensure timely follow-up on pending tasks with overseas vendors.
Candidate Qualifications
- Experience: Up to 2 years of experience in fashion, apparel, product coordination, or design support roles; internship experience in fashion or apparel industries is desirable.
- Education: Preferably holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, or related disciplines.
- Technical Proficiencies: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator is favored; experience with PLM software is advantageous.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, multitasking capability, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Professional Traits: Strong communication, effective follow-up, a positive mindset, eagerness to learn, and team-oriented approach.
Compensation
The position offers an annual salary of $55,000.
