As a Housekeeper in an assisted living setting, you will help keep resident apartments, shared spaces, and the broader care community clean, safe, and pleasant. Key duties
- Clean, tidy, and remove trash from common areas, offices, and public restrooms, including sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, furniture, soap dispensers, and paper supplies.
- Clean resident rooms and apartments, including sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and other surfaces, while restocking soap and paper products.
- Vacuum carpets and routinely sweep and mop floors.
- Keep apartments safe, comfortable, and visually appealing while protecting residents’ personal belongings.
- Address spills, stains, and other cleaning issues as they arise or as directed.
- Use cleaning agents and hazardous materials strictly according to product directions and internal procedures.
- Clean exterior windows, patios, and other outdoor areas when assigned.
Experience and qualifications
- Previous work in housekeeping or facilities maintenance is an advantage, especially in a multi-unit property.
- Experience supporting older adults is helpful, particularly in a healthcare setting.
- You must be able to carry out the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
