Junior Investigator

About the Role

As a Junior Investigator, you will contribute to producing thorough and reliable due diligence and investigative reports. Your tasks will include conducting research from various desktop sources, analyzing diverse data, and compiling well-organized reports. The focus of your investigations encompasses assessing reputational, regulatory, legal, financial, and integrity risks related to entities and individuals, all while upholding confidentiality, accuracy, and high ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform desktop-based due diligence on companies, individuals, and organizations using public records, commercial databases, media outlets, regulatory documents, and court archives.
• Conduct background checks aimed at uncovering reputational, legal, regulatory, financial, sanctions, and adverse media risks.
• Critically analyze and verify information from multiple sources to maintain accuracy and dependability.
• Create clear and concise due diligence reports that adhere strictly to company quality benchmarks.
• Present complex research findings as straightforward risk assessments and summaries for executive-level understanding.
• Detect inconsistencies or potential warning signs requiring deeper investigation.
• Maintain comprehensive research records and detailed source citations for audit purposes.
• Work closely with senior team members to address information gaps and enhance the quality of final reports.
• Achieve specified productivity, turnaround, and quality targets for assigned investigative cases.
