Job description
Role overview
This part-time, on-site Room Attendant position is centred on keeping guest bedrooms and public-facing bedroom corridors spotless, well maintained, and presented to an exceptional standard. The role is practical and fast-paced, with a strong focus on creating a noticeable cleanliness impact, staying efficient, and helping the housekeeping team deliver a consistently high level of guest satisfaction.
About the team and culture
The employer describes its hospitality style as personable and relationship-driven, with an emphasis on authenticity, teamwork, ownership, and development. Experience is helpful, but a positive attitude, energy, friendliness, and enjoyment of working with people are valued more highly. Support, training, and progression opportunities are offered to help team members build their careers.
Values and working style
- Deliver excellent work each day with purpose, follow a first-time-right approach, meet room productivity targets, and maintain brand standards.
- Treat colleagues with respect and professionalism, support the wider team during busy periods, and work cooperatively without ego or drama.
- Act with care for guests, the community, and fellow team members by protecting privacy, handling belongings respectfully, using cleaning products responsibly, and maintaining a warm professional presence on the corridors.
Key duties
The role is a hands-on part of the housekeeping operation and covers room servicing, guest support, and operational housekeeping standards.
- Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and corridors to a very high standard of hygiene and presentation.
- Refill guest amenities, linen, and other supplies, and respond quickly and positively to guest requests.
- Keep the housekeeping trolley tidy, properly organised, and fully stocked throughout the shift.
- Flag maintenance concerns, damage, or missing items to the leadership team without delay.
- Follow health and safety, hygiene, and COSHH procedures when using chemicals and cleaning equipment.
How success is measured
The team works with a strong sense of ownership and trust rather than close supervision. You are expected to manage your own room assignments, work at the required pace, and take responsibility for your performance. Ongoing training, feedback from inspections and audits, and a focus on innovation and continuous improvement support the goal of delivering strong guest satisfaction and mystery guest results.
Perks and benefits
- Two complimentary gym memberships at your home hotel.
- Hotel room rates starting from £20 across 35 hotels.
- Half-price food and drinks for you and up to five guests.
- Seventy-five percent off Sunday dinner for up to six people.
- Twenty-five percent off food and beverages for two friends or family members, even when you are not present.
- Access to hundreds of retail and lifestyle discounts through the company app.
- 24/7 mental health support through the employee assistance programme.
Who this role suits
This opportunity is aimed at people who like working in a dependable team, take pride in high standards, and bring energy and a can-do approach to guest service. A strong CV is not the main requirement; enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping others matter most.
Application note
Applicants are encouraged to share why they enjoy working with people and what makes them a good fit for the role.
