Role overview

The hotel sales manager/director of sales will be accountable for increasing revenue by pursuing new business, strengthening client partnerships, and converting group, corporate, and transient opportunities. The position is centered on boosting occupancy, room revenue, and event-related bookings while maintaining a polished, professional presence in the local market.

What you'll do

  • Create and put into action sales plans aimed at growing room nights, group business, and overall revenue.
  • Build and manage relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, event planners, and nearby businesses.
  • Win new business through outreach, networking, cold calling, and property visits.
  • Handle RFPs, negotiate terms, and finalize sales agreements.
  • Work closely with operations, front office, and events teams to ensure group stays and events run smoothly.
  • Host property tours and give client presentations.
  • Track market conditions, competitor moves, and pricing approaches.
  • Keep sales activity, forecasts, and client communication accurately logged in the CRM.
  • Represent the property at networking functions, trade shows, and industry meetings when required.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue targets.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or a similar area is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales, hospitality sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, and market segmentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • A self-driven, target-focused, and results-oriented approach.
  • Comfort managing several accounts and priorities in a busy environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM tools such as Delphi, Salesforce, or comparable systems is preferred.
