About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Hotel Director to spearhead all hotel-related functions on board a luxury cruise vessel. This senior leadership position is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional guest experience while excelling in operational management, financial oversight, and team leadership. As Hotel Director, you will manage a diverse range of departments such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Entertainment, Finance, IT, Cruise Sales, and other revenue-generating units onboard. Collaborating closely with the Captain and senior leadership, you will uphold the highest benchmarks of service, safety, and operational proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all hotel operational activities aboard the cruise ship.
- Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction through excellent service delivery and swift problem resolution.
- Lead departments to meet or surpass operational and financial objectives.
- Oversee budgeting processes, revenue management, expense control, and inventory supervision.
- Maintain adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Coach and inspire department heads, fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Spot and implement opportunities to boost operational efficiency and onboard earnings.
- Guarantee the consistency of company standards in all guest-interfacing sectors.
- Work in tandem with senior ship officers to facilitate seamless daily operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 5 years in a senior management role within luxury hotels, cruise ships, or large-scale hotels exceeding 1000 rooms.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities paired with strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in supervising extensive, culturally diverse teams.
- Robust business insight including expertise in budgeting, operational management, and strategic planning.
- Comprehensive understanding of superior guest service principles and hospitality standards.
- Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines, or possess equivalent professional experience.
- Proficient with intermediate-level computer applications.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
