About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Hotel Director to lead all hotel-related functions aboard a luxury cruise ship. This high-level leadership role entails ensuring an exceptional guest experience by managing operational excellence, financial oversight, and team leadership. The position supervises diverse departments such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Entertainment, Finance, IT, and Cruise Sales, alongside other revenue-generating units onboard.
Collaborating closely with the Captain and senior officers, the Hotel Director will maintain exemplary service, safety, and efficiency standards throughout the vessel.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead all hotel operations onboard the cruise ship.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through outstanding service delivery and prompt issue resolution.
- Guide departmental performance towards meeting operational and financial objectives.
- Handle budgeting, revenue management, expense control, and inventory oversight.
- Maintain adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Develop leadership skills among department heads and promote a positive team environment.
- Seek continuous improvements in operational efficiency and onboard revenue growth.
- Uphold company standards in every guest-facing area.
- Coordinate with senior officers to guarantee seamless daily ship operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years' leadership experience in luxury hotel or cruise operations, or managing large-scale hotels with more than 1000 rooms.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in managing diverse, multicultural teams.
- Solid business understanding including budgeting, operational oversight, and strategic planning.
- Keen knowledge of hospitality standards focused on guest service excellence.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional expertise.
- Competent intermediate computer skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
