Account Lead - Banking & Financial Services

About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a seasoned Account Manager to contribute significantly to the ongoing rapid expansion in Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on broadening our global service offerings across Integration, Technology, and Outsourcing for major clients in the Banking & Financial Services sector. Positioned in Riyadh, this role works closely with clients and senior leadership and involves a hybrid work arrangement with frequent on-site meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison and business owner for designated accounts, supporting the Client Partner and overseeing daily operations and P&L management.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to grow the backlog, optimize resources, and manage scope adjustments to fulfill client goals.
• Drive ongoing client engagement by organizing meetings to enhance client satisfaction and growth.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within Saudi Arabia, extending Cognizant’s footprint.
• Lead the development of superior proposals involving multidisciplinary collaboration; manage RFPs and RFIs in an international context.
• Oversee end-to-end business development, ensuring alignment among delivery, technical, and pre-sales teams with client needs.
• Formulate strategic market approaches for banking and insurance verticals to align objectives with marketplace possibilities.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 10 years in client-facing roles within IT professional services or offshore outsourcing, primarily focused on the Banking sector.
• Proven experience managing client accounts with P&L responsibilities amounting to multiple millions of dollars, including performance reporting.
• Strong persuasion and communication capabilities to engage business leaders up to the C-suite level.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively with all organizational tiers.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written, paired with excellent communication skills.
• Leadership qualities emphasizing teamwork and a hands-on management style.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Science or an MBA.
• Demonstrated success in generating new business in the Saudi market.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with enterprise-wide strategic insight.
