Role Overview
Join Bluebird Care in Kildare Town as a Healthcare Assistant, where you'll contribute meaningful and compassionate support to clients in their homes. You will assist individuals to maintain dignity and independence while working within a supportive, nurse-led team environment across Ireland.
Key Duties
- Provide personalized care including assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Cater to clients with Alzheimer's, Dementia, and high-care requirements.
- Supervise medication intake as necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping and occasional basic errands like shopping.
- Follow individual Care Plans meticulously.
- Offer companionship, encouraging social connection and client autonomy.
- Report observations or concerns promptly to the coordinating office team.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all health and safety guidelines.
- Document care activities and any incidents accurately.
Requirements
- Possession of QQI Level 5 certification, including completed modules in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
- At least one year of healthcare experience.
- Valid Garda Vetting Certificate; international police clearance if applicable.
- Ability to provide a fit-to-work certificate when required.
- A current full driving licence and access to personal transportation.
- Competency with Google Maps for travel purposes.
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and respectful demeanor.
- Authorized to work legally in the Republic of Ireland.
