Overview
Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Health Care Assistant to join the renal dialysis nursing team at Arrowe Park Hospital's Ward 36. This busy dialysis unit provides haemodialysis outpatient and inpatient care to approximately 90 patients across three shifts, six days weekly.
Key Responsibilities
Contributing as an essential team member, the Health Care Assistant will assist patients with personal hygiene and comfort, monitor vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and maintain accurate records. They will also support the preparation of dialysis machines and treatment areas, enhancing patient comfort during dialysis sessions.
Candidate Requirements
No prior experience is necessary; however, candidates must show a strong dedication to learning and self-development to effectively support nursing staff in patient care during haemodialysis treatment.
