Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant based in Tullamore, you'll receive continuous support from experienced Clinical Nurse Managers and have access to 24/7 clinical assistance. This role involves delivering personalized care that helps clients live independently, safely, and with dignity within their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care including washing, dressing, mobility assistance, and toileting support
- Preparing meals and undertaking light housekeeping tasks
- Prompting and supervising medication intake
- Offering companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting clients with Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and high dependency needs
- Adhering to individual Care Plans and documenting the care delivered
- Reporting any concerns promptly to the care management team
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of QQI Level 5 certifications in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment
- Successful Garda Vetting and international police clearance when applicable
- Possession of a fit-to-work certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Full driving license with access to personal transportation
- Comfortable using Google Maps for navigation
- Strong English communication skills
- A compassionate, reliable, and respectful attitude
- Full legal eligibility to work in Ireland
