Position Overview
We are recruiting compassionate, dependable, and motivated Social Care Assistants to join our team at Lannagh View Residential Service in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. This permanent, full-time role requires 39 hours per week during night shifts. Successful candidates will support individuals to lead fulfilling, meaningful lives within safe, respectful, and inclusive settings. Your work will involve collaboration with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to encourage independence, ensure equality, and help achieve personal objectives. You will also advocate for individuals' preferences, rights, and needs while contributing to the design and execution of individual care plans.
Salary Information
The role compensates in accordance with the Social Care Assistant pay scale, ranging from 32,542 to 45,161 annually, translating to an hourly rate between 15.99 and 22.19, based on the standard 39-hour work week.

Main Duties
- Participate in local service planning, supporting ongoing development and adapting to service needs.
- Deliver personal care and practical assistance as needed.
- Maintain a safe and dignified workplace, adhering to relevant policies and health and safety regulations.
- Promote safety in all work environments according to organizational guidelines.
- Use positive, proactive strategies to support individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors in accordance with best practice and policy.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of a full driver#39;s license is mandatory.
- All candidates must undergo Garda vetting and reference verification.
- Non-EU applicants must present work authorization documentation at application.
- Applicants with extended residence outside Ireland or Northern Ireland after age 16 must supply overseas police clearance.
