Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant at HealthHarmonie, you will support the 2 Week Wait Dermatology service throughout Greater Manchester, mainly in Oldham. Your duties involve preparing stock and medical equipment, setting up clinical rooms for healthcare professionals, and serving as a chaperone during patient evaluations and procedures. Additionally, you'll handle administrative tasks such as completing patient reports and supporting clinic operations to ensure an efficient and compassionate patient experience.
Working Hours & Locations
The service runs every day of the week; you will be expected to work five shifts within seven days. Shifts typically run from approximately 7:00/7:30 am until 5:30/6:00 pm. The role is mobile, requiring travel across various clinic sites nationwide, including locations like Manchester, Birmingham, Hereford, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Telford, Worcestershire, Stoke, Staffordshire, Doncaster, Nottinghamshire, Wrexham, Gloucestershire, Reading, Frimley, Slough, and Bassetlaw.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a valid driving licence and ownership of a vehicle to access multiple clinic venues.
- Prior administrative experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Computer proficiency with familiarity in common software and systems.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and pride in your responsibilities.
From your first day, you'll undergo an extensive two-week training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge for the Healthcare Assistant role. Employment is conditional on passing the appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and providing valid right-to-work documentation.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Working five days weekly, Monday through Sunday coverage.
- 40-hour workweek, inclusive of travel time.
- Starting salary of £27,144, with potential increase up to £28,641 upon certification in additional clinical disciplines such as Ophthalmology, ENT, and Gynaecology.
- Travel allowance funded at 55 pence per mile.
