Overview
This leadership role in PwC’s Health Consulting division in Ireland focuses on addressing complex strategic, operational, and digital challenges within the healthcare system. The Director will play a pivotal role in fostering business growth, client engagement, and leading transformative healthcare initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead significant healthcare transformation programs, guiding senior healthcare leaders through strategy, policy changes, digital transformation, and organizational redesign.
- Drive business development efforts including client acquisition, relationship management, and growth of healthcare consulting offerings.
- Provide high-level advisory services, shaping strategic agendas and delivering practical, evidence-based solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
- Manage delivery quality and risks across multi-year, complex projects ensuring alignment with client goals.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams aligned with PwC values of collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.
- Champion culture of integrity, inclusion, wellbeing and nurture the next generation of leaders within the practice.
Technical Expertise
- Expertise in healthcare service planning, redesign, and implementation of innovative care models.
- Experience in operational, financial, and productivity improvement with proven savings realization.
- Knowledge of workforce transformation, technology adoption, healthcare procurement, and capital planning.
- Proficiency in programme delivery, change management, and capacity-demand modeling within healthcare systems.
Candidate Profile
- 10–12+ years’ experience in healthcare consulting with a strong track record delivering complex transformation programs.
- In-depth understanding of the Irish healthcare landscape, policy frameworks, and sector challenges.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders in complex organizations.
- Commercially astute with experience in pipeline development and proposal leadership.
- Effective communicator with excellent facilitation and presentation capabilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and leveraging global networks for delivery excellence.
- Commitment to innovation, digital enablement, and ongoing improvement initiatives in healthcare.
- Advanced academic qualification such as a Master’s degree, MBA, or a relevant professional qualification.
- Established network of senior healthcare system leaders in Ireland.
