Team Overview
The Women's Hospital serves as a tertiary referral center for women with complex health needs. Its outpatient clinics include specialties such as gynaecology, abortion and contraception, urogynaecology, menopause, vulva/dermatology, cancer-related menopause symptoms, breast oncology, early pregnancy advisory, chronic pelvic pain, and colposcopy. The Ambulatory Gynaecology Service offers minor procedures under local anaesthetic, along with urodynamic assessments, insertion of contraceptive intrauterine devices, and outpatient cystoscopies.
Role Summary
The position is part-time at 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), based onsite in Parkville with accessible public transportation options. The role involves evaluating, planning, executing, and assessing care for patients visiting Women's Health Clinics, ensuring efficient clinic operation, and assisting in clinical triage to prioritize patients appropriately.
Candidate Profile
- Registered Division 1 Nurse with AHPRA registration
- At least two years of acute nursing experience with a strong interest in women's health
- Knowledgeable in women's health care adopting a social model approach
- Proficient in computer literacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong abilities in planning, prioritization, and time management
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range from $86,588 to $107,514 annually (pro-rated for part-time)
