Role overview
Evergreen Care is hiring a full-time Health Care Assistant for its Ballyboggan Lower, Castlebridge location in Wexford, County Wexford, Ireland. This opportunity sits within one of Ireland’s private nursing home providers and offers a chance to grow your career in a resident-focused care setting.
What the role involves
You will be part of the Health Care Assistant team and will work under the guidance of the nursing staff to deliver person-centred support. The aim of the role is to help residents receive high-quality care while preserving their independence, privacy, and dignity.
The position also involves contributing to a caring atmosphere that supports residents’ physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual wellbeing.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with a genuine interest in caring for older people and a strong commitment to aged care. Compassion and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
Education, experience and training
Prior experience in a similar setting, or a relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in Health Care Support, is preferred but not mandatory. Full training will be provided, and further continuing professional development opportunities are available.
