About the Role
Xpress Health is actively seeking experienced healthcare assistants to join their healthcare team in Carricklawn, County Wexford. This opportunity is ideal for HCAs wanting to take on additional shifts or considering a transition within the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Possess at least one year of experience working within Irish healthcare settings.
- Hold a minimum qualification of QQI Level 5 or an equivalent certification in Healthcare Support.
- Exhibit clear verbal communication skills necessary for conveying sensitive information appropriately.
- Demonstrate compassion and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life of patients.
- Maintain a tactful and approachable demeanor in patient and peer interactions.
- Competent in manual handling and people moving techniques.
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols.
- Certified in CPR and Basic Life Support techniques.
- Knowledgeable about elder abuse prevention and safeguarding measures.
- Familiar with policies related to Child Safety (Children First).
Terms and Conditions
- Employment type: Part-time with varied shifts including day, night, 12-hour shifts, and weekend availability.
- Salary ranges from €15 to €20 per hour based on experience and qualification.
- Additional benefit of flexible working hours (flexitime).
