Role Mission

As Mimica's inaugural Head of Product, you will spearhead the product organization's expansion during a critical growth phase. This leadership position involves steering the overall product strategy, market positioning, and roadmap development, while elevating product management standards and implementing structures and practices that enable faster, confident decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and define global product strategy and high-level roadmap in collaboration with executive leadership, including identifying gaps and shaping priorities with a long-term vision.
  • Clearly document and communicate product vision and strategy to enhance alignment and transform informal decisions into clear directives.
  • Mentor Product Managers and Designers, establish career progression frameworks, and support upskilling initiatives to enable team growth.
  • Maintain a supportive environment by removing obstacles to ensure a sustainable, high-performing team.
  • Enhance product function operations, streamline prioritization and planning rituals, and incorporate customer, market, and competitive insights early in decision-making.
  • Align stakeholders and foster consensus amidst conflicting priorities or opinions.
  • Manage executive and customer escalations, safeguarding the roadmap against disruptive pressures.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, transparency, and initiative while ensuring business objectives are achieved.
  • Forecast team capacity needs and collaborate with HR to recruit exceptional talent to build a balanced Product organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven product leadership experience as Head, Director, or VP of Product in a comparable scale-up environment.
  • Expertise in managing technical enterprise products related to data-intensive processes, process optimization, AI, or automation.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of coaching Product Managers and Designers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, especially balancing priorities between senior Engineering and Commercial leaders.
  • Experience developing products powered by proprietary AI/ML technology.
  • Sound judgment in prioritization and roadmap trade-offs.
  • Strong customer-focused product and commercial insight.
  • Confidence in managing disagreements, aligning diverse stakeholders, and navigating uncertainty.
  • Successful track record in international, multicultural teams.
  • Fluent English communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Technical background or experience building/maintaining technical systems, such as software engineering.
  • Experience embedding product and design teams within cross-functional engineering groups.
  • Proven ability to lead fully remote, distributed teams.

Work Location & Flexibility

This is a fully remote role open to candidates across North America and Western Europe. Preference is given to those in time zones that offer strong overlap with teams in these regions.

Employee Benefits

  • Competitive salary and stock options aligned with industry benchmarks and individual expertise.
  • Flexible work arrangements including fully remote, hybrid, or hub-based work.
  • Company-issued equipment, remote work setup allowance, and coworking space budget.
  • Flexible working hours and locations.
  • Generous paid time off including local public holidays.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies.
  • Health and retirement benefits.
  • Annual learning and development funds.
  • Opportunities for annual workaway experiences and regular virtual and in-person social events.
  • Chance to contribute to pioneering projects shaping the future of work.
