Role overview
CatholicCare Sydney is seeking a Head of Transformation for a fixed-term, two-year full-time appointment based in Lewisham, Tasmania, Australia. This executive leadership position is responsible for steering the organisation’s transformation agenda from end to end, with a strong focus on digital, clinical and operational improvements that support strategy, enhance service delivery and lift overall performance.
The successful candidate will be accountable for taking transformation work from initial business case development through planning, implementation and the realisation of benefits. The role covers governance, vendor coordination, delivery oversight and the practical rollout of major change initiatives.
This position also plays a key role in driving organisation-wide change across digital, operational and practice areas. The aim is to simplify processes, improve consistency, modernise ways of working and strengthen efficiency, scalability, customer experience, client pathways and evidence-based decision-making.
In addition, the role is expected to build transformation capability across the organisation, encourage adoption of change, and help create a culture of innovation, ongoing improvement and strong collaboration between teams.
Key accountabilities
Lead major transformation initiatives spanning digital, operational and practice domains.
Develop business cases, plan delivery approaches, manage governance and oversee implementation through to measurable outcomes.
Support standardisation and process improvement to improve efficiency and service quality.
Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of change programs.
Strengthen organisational change capability and promote adoption across stakeholders.
Build a collaborative, future-focused culture that supports continuous improvement and innovation.
Selection criteria
Applicants should hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
You will need demonstrated experience leading complex transformation work and large-scale technology implementation across an entire organisation.
Qualifications in project or program management, such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMP or Agile, are viewed favourably.
A strong working knowledge of organisational and IT governance, cybersecurity, data privacy and risk management is important.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build constructive partnerships, create shared direction and lead cross-functional activity in complex environments is essential.
