About Hyprwork

Hyprwork is a rapidly expanding company focused on developing and scaling direct-to-consumer health and wellness brands. Their flagship, Rejuvacare, offers products such as RejuvaKnee that enhance mobility and reduce pain for adults, with over 400,000 customers primarily in the United States. Having grown twelvefold to a team of nearly 150 across 15+ countries in one year, Hyprwork operates with a fully remote and asynchronous work culture emphasizing accountability.

Role Overview

This leadership role entails owning the entire supply chain function rather than just coordinating or purchasing. Currently, the company manages around 100,000 units monthly across 20 SKUs in three categories via OEM manufacturing in China with cross-border fulfillment to the US. As the brand portfolio grows, you will design, optimize costs, mitigate risks, build team capabilities, and scale supply chain operations to keep pace with business growth.

The existing lean setup involves no proprietary warehouses; fulfillment uses shared facilities near Guangzhou and Shenzhen at per-order fees, inventory tracking via Google Sheets, and communication through Slack. Typical sourcing cycles last two to three weeks from request to warehouse readiness. Shipping costs average $6-$8 per package, with targets to reduce costs by $0.50-$1.00 per package. Your strategic responsibility includes setting overall landed cost architecture, timing system upgrades from spreadsheets, and enabling scalability for multi-brand operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategy, including supplier networks, warehouse and 3PL footprint in southern China, shipping partners, and scaling plans for a growing portfolio.
  • Establish robust demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes aligning forecasts with sales campaigns and launches to maintain deliberate inventory coverage of 6-8 weeks, balancing stockout risks with cash flow.
  • Lead sourcing and supplier management: OEM qualification, negotiating pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, lead times, and establishing dual sourcing policies for high-velocity items. Direct the on-the-ground China sourcing team.
  • Manage landed costs per unit by leveraging competitive shipping negotiations, multi-carrier routing strategies, and cross-border logistics for both direct-to-consumer and Amazon FBM channels.
  • Design and enforce quality control and returns management systems to identify and resolve defects effectively, preventing recurring issues with factory partners.
  • Build and grow the supply chain team through recruiting, training, and creating structured SOPs and dashboards, ensuring function resilience beyond individual contributors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, and Marketplace teams to seamlessly coordinate launches and supply chain readiness, reporting key performance indicators regularly to leadership.

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant senior experience managing an end-to-end supply chain function for a DTC or e-commerce brand, preferably with China OEM manufacturing and cross-border fulfillment to the US.
  • Established operational presence in China or GMT+8 time zone, or proven success managing China-based teams through frequent in-person visits. Remote management via agents or sourcing companies alone is not acceptable.
  • Strong strategic planning abilities demonstrated through forecast models, cost architecture redesigns, and scalable network implementations with measurable results.
  • In-depth knowledge of Chinese manufacturing commercial operations, including factory evaluation, MOQ/payment negotiations, freight forwarding cost structures, volumetric weight pricing, and risk management for single-source dependencies.
  • Proven leadership in developing teams from executors to owners, aligning with Hyprwork’s leadership standard of cultivating other leaders.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, written and verbal, capable of clarity under pressure for internal leadership, external negotiations, and global collaboration.
  • Comfortable in a fully remote, asynchronous work environment maintaining rigorous documentation, proactive escalation, and accountability; adept at managing high discipline using spreadsheets while transitioning to advanced systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary with paid time off
  • Wellness stipend
  • Company computer allowance following tenure milestones
  • Monthly bonus program
  • Birthday gift cards
  • Allowance for in-country meetups
  • Leadership offsite events

The role offers full remote work with direct influence on a critical function for a multi-brand supply chain, reporting directly to the Director of Operations with close founder interaction. Collaboration hours focus on 8am–12pm EST, outside of which asynchronous work is normal.
